Clean Up, Clean Up

Today...tonight to be precise, while the whole house is fast asleep, I am all alone, cleaning the house. I'm in the middle of all the household chores, just stopping by, to jot a new entry in my blog. Take it as taking a short break, before I am off to the kitchen to mop the floor.
It's a hard work. What makes it harder is knowing that tomorrow, before the sun manage to shine straight ahead, the house will be in its disarray state again. How 3 small kids manage to muddle things up in just a short 5minutes.
Anyway, I am still cleaning the house today, shining places that never been shone before. All this because...my parents are coming tomorrow. Hehehheheh....
And because I know, whenever they are here, the place will never ever be untidy or in mess. I don't know how my mum does it, but she manage to keep everything in place back again, eventhough the kids keep throwing everything everywhere.
And tomorrow, the kids will be less clinging to me, and will run around the grandparents and its their turn to be driven mad. Hahahahaha...
Okay, enough break...back to the waiting chores.
Ta da...

Clean up, clean up
Everybody, everywhere
Clean up, clean up
Everybody, do your share

Thats great that your parents will be visiting, the kids will be hovering around them so maybe u can catch a catnap. :)

My sister is the same, everytime she comes the house magically transforms into this place which is spotless.

mmg kalau parents kita nak dtg umah, kena make sure semuanya in order...kalau PIL ok sikit, tapi kalau mak bapak sendiri mmg selamba je dia kritik kita...so we have to do what we have to!
tp bagus gak kan, kalau tak liat gak nak buat cleaning ni...cuci yg nampak je!! itu kalau saya le...org lain ok kot!

Ah, but the mess is a sign of genius creativity. Congratulations on your expansive mind. That's my excuse anyway...

Can't you just dim the lights?

just imagine..i have to do that every single day cause my mom is staying with me...she's from the orthodox school of thought when it comes to cleanliness and tatacara untuk menyidai kain, melipat kain dan menyimpan kain...

When I was staying with my family in JB I am in the unofficial Dapur Officer. I'm obsessed with keeping the kitchen clean.

But living in a house with idiot brothers, and dad, and a few others... the kitchen is in a state of perpetual mess no matter how often I clean up.

That's why I don't cook and I don't let others get near my kitchen.

It's clean because of lack of use.

=P

Macam saya jugak, bila ada tetamu nak datang, penat nak kemas rumah yang lebih...kalaulah ada machine yang boleh buat kerja semua tu kan bagus!

Good luck..my time hasn't come yet! BTW, I just bought the Diet 2009 mag after your recommendations. I'll digest it this weekend.

SSQuo- yup, the kids are hovering around them indeed.
I always wonder with those people who always manage to keep their place spotless in any condition. How do they do that???

lieyn- kalau parents sendiri dtg, nervous sbb nanti diorg komplen je ikut suka, tp kalau PIL pun, risau gak, sbb takut diorg dpt bad impression lak psl menantu diorg nih. hehehheh

The little me- it's a norm when u hv 3 active kids who rarely sleep during the day, and parents who would be arriving soon.
Beauty sleep have to wait.

G.Coppard- I knew you would hv the answer for it. I always knew i"m a genius. hahhahahhah...
hmmm..shud use that excuse next time.

neeza- hubby kita slalu ckp, dia kata biar je la. x pyh hipokrit. masalahnya kalau x hipokrit, bior je mcm keadaan seharian, sakit jantung lak diorg tgk nanti. hehhehhe...

domestic engineer- ye la. PIL dtg, risau gak. bukan setakat PIL, sis-in-laww nk dtg, lagi la. risau2...risau kena komplen sbb tahu diri ini mmg malas mengemas. huhuhuu

True Mom- I've been wondering the same thing, how can I manage. but as time goes by, it seems I manage to get thru the day, unharm, eventhough there were days where I broke down n cry, days that Mr Ab can't find a clean shirt in the closet, days that I can't make myself wake up in the morning. But, heck, I did manage.
so can anybody else.

Lee- I thought I just did. :)

DaNaSh- Huh? NO....
I understand what u mean. Iknew some one who hang up the cloth with equal space in between each one, who cut the onion into the same size, who wash the dishes, then wipe dry, then straight into the cupboard every single day. Ouch...

Azian- that's a good way of keeping the place clean. when u cook almost everyday, the place is hardly clean n shine. :)

Azian hassan- adoi sis...itu la pasal. kalau ada org nk dtg, nk kemas lg, nk msk lg. kalau kak azian jumpa mesin tu, saya nk tempah satu. :))

HLiza- that mag is great actually. great healthy recipe too. if only I can make myself read it thru and thru. IF ONLY I could make myself follow the suggestion. hehehhe
