Phewww...

At last...at looong last...I'm back typing entry in my blog.
I was around. I bloghopped, but not as much.

Life has been busy. With the little baby started taking his few steps a month ago, life has been busier. The baby seems too happy with his two feet, and he had been using em to his advantage. venturing to new territories, discovering a whole new world. And so much for the 'mama's disdain, the result of the new adventure were, broken pots, clothes been pull out from the cabinet. plates and containers that were originally nicely kept in the kitchen cabinet, had been 'rearranged' all over the kitchen floor. And we can't leave the sliding door to the balcony open, he will sure makes his way out. Not to mention, the books from the racks, and the bathroom.

So many things happened in my life for the past month.
Celebrated my 8th wedding anniversary on the 21st April, then the hubby's birthday the next 3 days.
There were also the ups and downs, and etc, etc.

Let me share something about my anniversary.

Mr AB got back from India (or is it Japan??) a week before the day. He had everything plan- a weekend in Cherating, Pahang. Then get back to KL for a romantic dinner in KL Tower.
But what really happened were, the resort in Cherating were full, so we headed down to Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan instead. The Water Chalet was magnificent, with see-through glass on the floor, open shower, a big tub, etc. The kids were excited looking at the water below, eventhough it's a bit murky. And they would yelled when airplanes flew by, everytime they were in the shower.
The next day, it rain heavily. We can't even get out of the place (we need to walk quite a distance from the water chalet to the carpark). Then the car broke down in the hotel's carpark. Well, it was not broke down in a way, it's the key, it snapped inside the keyhole, and nothing could be done by the local mechanics. (that's a con point for using a digital European car). So, we got back to KL in the hotel's cab. And Mr AB, went back to PD to sort the thing out. And there goes the anniversary night.

Anyway, it was great. I have a lovely time, plus the misadventure. Some misadventure won't hurt the day. As long as i don't have to be stranded, camping somewhere where there's no proper toilet, and piping system...pheewww... (Have i ever told u, i never like camping).

And on the 24th April, was Mr AB's birthday. He was in India. So, it never was any celebration or anything. Bad, bad me for not planning anything when he got back. But bought him present, and cards.

Then there's mother's day, today. Mr AB is in Korea. But he texted me early in the morning wishing 'happy mother's day'.

This may look like an ordinary, cheap pen to all of you. But this pen had touched my heart so much.

On Friday, as usual, I picked Umar from school. As he walked towards the car, he shouted, 'Happy Mother's Day' to me. But what makes it so special, he gave me this pen as the gift. The thing that makes it extra, extra special, was that, he had been collecting his pocket money this week to buy me gift. After he gave me the pen, I asked him everything. He planned to collect RM4 this week for my gift. He wanted to buy a more expensive pen, a wrapping paper and glue. But the morning before I sent him to school, I have asked him to leave all the money at home and just bring rm1, because, you never know, he might just lost them. So, he said, he's a bit disappointed not being able to wrap it properly.

But,
Umar, I don't mind. Your thoughts and you being a great son, is enough for me.
You are so precious to me. I love you so much.

And to all of the mothers out there...Happy Mother's Day...

FOUR she is....

Laiqa Najma is four on the 21st March.
I did not do anything special on the day.
Mainly because, Mr AB not home. Secondly because little Munif and me are down with flu. Laiqa herself and Umar had just recovered from the flu bug.

Anyway, we (me and Umar) sang her happy birthday early in the morning. Mr Ab called to wish his princess a happy birthday.
Then she requested me to bake her 'Dora the Explorer' cupcakes. And wanted me to buy her Barbie doll and a milk bottle for Sonia (her baby doll) for her birthday present. I leave the present part to the daddy when he's back from India (what?? another trip to India?? he must be really fascinated with the place or what..).

I postponed the Dora cupcakes until Mr AB's back. Anyway, amid my fever and headache, managed to bake her some plain 'red velvet' cupcakes.

She is four now. But I still think she is such a baby. So much different when Umar was four back then. Umar is more independent, friendly, talkative, etc. He is more mature.
Laiqa is shy. She still is her father's baby girl.

Anyway, now she has two brother who love to tease her.
One is Umar of course. He would tease her from the break of dawn till bedtime.

Notice that he is drinking from a pink Dora tumbler that belongs to Laiqa. He always does that purposely, so that Laiqa would scream her heart out and cry.
And you haven't seen this boy in action in teasing her sister. He has got his own tricks too.

What a handful for Laiqa. :)

It's not him, It's me...

5 January 2009
Umar's first day at school.
He's very excited, woke up very early in the morning. But his class only starts at 11.30am.

Anyway, it's not about him, it's me. If you are looking for the one who are anxious about this first day of school, it would be me. Yup, me.

Umar was so excited and worry-free. He even refused my request to stay until class is over.
I was so nervous and worried about him. He is a good boy..indeed he is. He is mature, yup, true. And he is sooo like the father. So calm, and never think of the risks. Anyway, what risk does he has to face on his first day at school? That's what Mr AB said, when i tell him about it.
Hello...yeah...he is not facing the BIG risks...but he is just going to be 7 years old, he has never been away from me. He attended preschool only for a few months. And now...

Me : What if he couldn't find his class?
Mr AB: Come on mama, he's a smart boy. How on earth, couldn't he find his own class?? Anyway Umar, if you want to wander around other people classes, it's okay, I did that on my first day, just because of curiosity. (I replied that with a good stare.)

Me : What if he doesn't know what to buy during recess?
Mr AB: Then let he be hungry. He's smart, he could figure that out.

Me : What if he couldn't find his shoes after 'solat'?
Mr AB: He'll get a good smack from me for not looking after his own stuff.

Me :Papa, when u send him to school today, make sure you send him to his class. wait until he enters his class.
Mr AB: Mama, you send him. If I go, I just stop at the gate.

Me :Umar, you study well okay. Make sure you get number 1 in your exam. If you get that, then only I'll let papa buy you PSP. If you can't achieve that, if your dad still buy the PSP, it will be mine until you get better result.
Umar :Mama, if it's yours, can you ask papa to download spiderman's, spongebob's, racing games for you, in your PSP?
Me : If it's mine I will download girlie game.
Mr AB: Umar, this PSP thing, between the two of us okay. We discuss about it later. And no, numbers is not important. You just go, learn and have fun. Anyway mama, have you seen his text book, he knows everything until the last page.
Me : Yea, I know, I taught him all that.

And when I sent him to school today, I walked him until the foyer. Then he queue to the canteen. When he queued, I felt pathetic, mmm..no...I felt sad, mmm...touched...well, I'll go with sad. Yup, sad. He is always an active boy, playful, cheerful, and I can't help it, seeing him obediently queueing in a single file, walking slowly towards the canteen. OMG, now I think I should HOMESCHOOL him....

Getting ready to school

All set to go

He's so excited. I was the only parents taking pictures that morning. Well, may be they were others, but not that I am aware of.

Pink Panther... Pink Ultraman???

I'm here surfing the net..as usual..like nothing else matters, while actually I have tonnes of things to do, which I ignored, bcos being here in front of my laptop, is far better than being there..mopping the floor...hahahah...

Munif is taking his afternoon nap. Umar is watching 'ultraman tiga' and Laiqa is pushing her baby doll around the house on the baby's stroller (which her dad bought for her after much persuasion from her, she even collected money that her dad left on the dressing table to buy that).

Then, I heard Umar called Laiqa to come and play ultraman with him...

Umar: laiqa, let's play ultraman
Laiqa: ok
Umar: You are the 'ultraman tiga' ok. And i'll be 'ultraman dyna'. Mummy's cushions are the monster.
Laiqa: ok
Umar: punch the cushions, kick it , until the 'raksasa' dies.

Umar: ok, now your light are blinking...u hv less energy...time to change color... say this 'bertukar'(change) n u'll turn blue.
Laiqa: No, i want to turn pink.
Umar: Cannot, no pink ultraman.
Laiqa: I don't care...I want to be pink...
Umar: Laiqa...this is not a Pink Panther Show....it's ultraman...
Laiqa: don't want...

then, suddenly...debishhh....

Laiqa: Mummy......abang hit me...
Mummy: Umar.........
Umar: No, mummy...she doesn't listen to me. Please tell her there's no pink ultraman!!!

And that's in a day of a mom....:):):)

Just have a look at her choice of what to wear...and you expect her to change to blue????

Me and Umar

I've been neglecting this blog for a while. But I am always here. My heart is here, even me myself. I always online, browsing here and there.
Other than that, busy taking care of this two kids.

I am blessed with Umar and Laiqa.
Umar is still my baby boy. Other than being a 'boy'...a naughty one indeed, he understand what i'm dealing with. He helped a lot. Fetching this and that. Do most of the things by himself. If he sees me look so unwell, he'll get a glass of water for me. He reminds me to take my daily vitamins without fail each day (mr AB must be proud of him- it's the daddy daily duty of reminding me with all the supplement and now he has somebody who take over when he's not at home :p)
If I am taking a nap, he'll come to 'check' once a while.
Yesterday he asked me to pray hard that the baby in my tummy will be a boy.
And today, he said, "mama ur tummy has enlarged. Does that mean the baby is getting bigger? Baby is in the tummy right, but why is your butt getting bigger too?"
I replied, "Asked ur dad".
Isn't it nice being me...:)..if stuck with those kind of questions there's always Mr AB around to take it from there....
p/s-Somebody have requested me to make an optimus prime cake for Umar... Next month ok dear...

The Dream Team- keep dreaming....

Today is a very wet Saturday. It has been raining almost all day.
And I am so bored. I have been bloghopping...to cheer things up, but not many updated their blogs during weekends.
And I am not in the mood to write anything as well...

Anyway, here's the photo of my two sweethearts..

Both the jersey were bought by Pok Chik...it's too big for Laiqa...
She hates anything to do with boys clothing. The first time we showed her this jersey, she quickly grab it and hid it under the desk.
Anyway today she agrees to wear just during the 'photo session'.
She is just so 'girly'.

Last time, her 'tok ayah' (my father-in-law), bought her a superman suit complete with cape...she cried and threw it away.
Bought her something pink..she will definitely love it.
